Requirements
- Windows, MacOS, Linux
- Blender 3.6 LTS to 4.2 LTS
Experimental Builds
Experimental Blender builds such as 4.3-alpha are not supported, and fixing any issues related to them, will not be a priority, but reporting them is still encouraged.
Blender on MacOS
MacOS users should install Blender properly, by following the official instructions.
Avoid running it just from the Downloads folder!
Note that, for dragging of files and folders, you need to hold down the COMMAND
key.
This will ensure AppTranslocation1 is avoided.
Blender on Arch Linux
Arch Linux users and users of other Arch based or similar rolling release distros are advised to use the official Blender builds.
The Blender package in the Community repository does not supply its own Python, and does not follow official recommendations.
As a consequence, the system's python version may not work with CURVEmachine.
Latest CURVEmachine
The latest version of CURVEmachine is 1.3.0 - available on Gumroad and Blender Market.
See this page the learn what's new in the latest versions, or see the changelog for the full release history.
Installation
CURVEmachine is installed like any other Blender addon, see the offical Blender manual, for details.
The easiest approach is always from the .zip file, in Blender's addons preferences. This is especially recommended for fresh installations of the addon.
If you know your way around Blender and how addons work, you can also do manual installation from your filebrowser. This approach can be quicker, and is also recommended when you update the addon to a new version, as it retains any previous addon settings you may have changed.
Confirm
If the installation was successful and you have activated the addon, then you will have access to the CURVEmachine menu in Edit Curve mode using the Y
key by default.
In addition, there will be a new Single Point Poly Curve entry in Blender's Add Object - Curve sub-menu, in Object Mode.
