Preferences
a few CURVEmachine settings, keymaps, and links
Menu
If you use the default Y
keymap to bring up the CURVEmachine menu in Edit Curve mode, you will have the option to display the Split tool at the bottom of the menu.
Split is mapped to Y
as well, and so with the menu taking over that keymap now, you can press Y
two times to call the Split tool.
If you change the menu keymap to X
, you will have the option to display the Delete tool/menu instead.
For any other keymap, this section will not be shown.
HUD
Adjust the size of HUD elements for tools like Blendulate, Symmetrize, Slide, Knife, GapShuffle and Reverse to your liking.
Note
A value of 1 should be fine for most users, as CURVEmachine already takes Blender's UI scaling, as well as any system level scaling into account.
Still, this value allows you to fine-tune how CURVEmachine modals are drawn.
Furthermore you can adjust the timing of fading HUD elements or for the Reverse tool, as well as the flick distance used for Symmetrize.
3D View
Choose wether you want CURVEmachine to display a panel in the MACHIN3 tab of the 3D View's sidebar.
Tools
When you invoke the Blendulate tool with a single point selection, a radius/blend with 6 points between the 2 outer points will be created by default.
You can change the amount of these segments in the tool itself, but you can also change that default value here in the prefereces.
Keymaps
All the keymaps CURVEmachine sets by default - except for the Slide tool - are exposed here, and can be changed.
The Merge tool's keymappings roughly follow MACHIN3tools logic, making use of the 1
key, like Smart Vert does.
ALT + 1
maps to the Blender native Make Segment tool, which is called Connect in the CURVEmachine menu.
Support
fat support button. more people should use it. it helps.
Please use this fat Get Support button, or the smaller one in the 3D View's sidepanel, if you require product support.
Clicking it, will create log files, and provide further instructions in a Readme.html file, that you can open in your webbrowser.
